The following instructions were based on the Windows version. (Macintosh version similar, but may vary slightly. Also, these instructions are for use with our NEW version clipart. Macintosh users who purchased our original version of "Li'l Kritters & Li'l Darlin's" (200 image version), use either the "GIF" or "JPG" folder for importing images. You'll need to see which format works best for you.)

Start the Corel Print House program. Click "CANCEL" when it asks you for the Print House CD. If using our CD-ROM version of clipart ... insert our clipart CD into your CD-Rom Drive (you can leave the Corel Print House CD in if you are using the "Tidbits To Go" clipart which is NOT on CD-Rom). Click "VIEW". Make sure "Standard Tool Bar" and "Text Tool Bar" has a check mark next to them.

NOTE: For "Tidbits To Go" clipart which is NOT on CD-ROM, you need to replace "CD-Rom" drive with "c" drive, and "WMF" folder will instead be "Lww" folder for the instructions below.

Click "FILE", "IMPORT". In the top-most box click the upside-down triangle (arrow), then click on the icon of your CD-Rom drive. Double-click on the "WMF" folder (Macintosh Users: "Macintosh" folder, "Print House" folder). Click anywhere inside the list of files. Type the name of the clipart image you want to import (ex: C075 or c6101). You will not see a preview, so you'll need to make sure you double-click on the exact filename of the image.

GROUPING: You will need to "group" the image immediately after you import it in. If you want to change the color of a particular item on the image first, make sure the item is well distanced from any other image, make your change (see "COLOR" below), then do the following ... click and drag your pointer to encompass the entire image (or images) you want to group, then click "ARRANGE", "GROUP".

"UNGROUP" by selecting the image or image group, click your right mouse button, click "UNGROUP".

SIZING the image: Position the pointer to one of the corners of the image. Click and drag inward to reduce the image, or drag outward to enlarge.

MOVING the image: Position your pointer on the image. Click and drag the image to where you want to move it. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move in small increments.

DESELECTING the image: Click anywhere outside the image's box.

You may now import another image by repeating from the .

ORDER or OVERLAPPING: Select the image you want to layer behind another image. Click your right mouse button. Select "BACK ONE" or "TO BACK".

ROTATING: For images: Double-click on the image (for text, single click). Arrows will appear on the corners and sides. Position your pointer on a corner. A broken circle with arrows at the ends should appear. Click and move your mouse to rotate the image or text.

DUPLICATING: To make a copy of an item, click "EDIT", "DUPLICATE".

ZOOM IN: Click the magnifying glass with the "+" (plus sign). Click and drag to form a box around the area you want to zoom in closer to.

ZOOM OUT: Click the magnifying glass with the "-" (minus sign).

FLIPPING: To mirror or flip the image when making transfers for t-shirts, mousepad, coasters, or just to make an image face the other direction, select the image (or image group). Click "ARRANGE", "FLIP HORIZONTALLY".

ADDING TEXT: Click the "A" button on the button bar at left. Your pointer turns to a "+" (plus sign). Click on your sheet where you want to put it and and type your text. When done click on the "Pick Tool" ("arrow" button under the "key" button)

TEXT ALIGNMENT: To center your text, click on the "ALIGN CENTER" button in the button bar.

FONT STYLE: Click the "FONT" box in the top button bar & scroll down the list until you find the font you like. Click on it. You can, also, type the first letter of the font name (if you know it) to get closer to the actual font, so you won't have to scroll as much.

TEXT SIZE: Click the "FONT SIZE" box in the top button bar, then click on a size you want. If you need a size that is not available, click the "F" on the button bar. If the bottom portion of the window is hiding, move the window up by positioning your pointer on the header portion of the window, then click and drag upward. Under "SIZE", double-click on the number in the box, then type a new number (you do not need to type the ".000").

COLOR: Select the item you want to color. Click the "COLORING" button (next to the paint bucket) on the button bar. Select a color then click "OKAY".

For color blends, click on "NOTEBOOK" from the menu at top. Click on "STYLES", "COLOR". Click the "STYLES" tab on the spiral notebook to the left. Scroll down until you find a sample you like. Click and drag the sample over to the item. You can change the colors by clicking the "COLORING" button on the button bar. If you want to keep the color change as a sample for future projects, click and drag the item over to the sample styles. Your new sample will be at the bottom. You can change the name by clicking once, then clicking again.

OUTLINE: Select the item you want to outline. Click on "NOTEBOOK" from the menu at top. Click on "STYLES", "LINE STYLE". Click the "STYLES" tab on the spiral notebook to the left. Scroll down until you find a sample you like. Click and drag the sample to the item. You can change the color by clicking the "COLORING" button on the button bar.

FADE: Click the "FADE" button (next to the light bulb) on the button bar. Slide the bar or type in a number to fade the item.

SIZE BOX: Click the "SIZE" button (last button) on the button bar. Type in your dimensions.

UNDO: Immediately click "EDIT", "UNDO" if you make a boo-boo.

PRINTING: Under "PRINTER", Click the to select the printer you will be using if it's not already shown. Click on "PRINT".
